File under "weird" and "news to me"

Myron wanted a placemat, so I put one under his cereal bowl. It was a deceptively blue-and-white design, so that he didn't immediately notice the Christmas theme. When he did, he remarked that it had angels and shepherds and stars... and then Gabriel piped up, "and it needs to have candy canes!" I asked, "who eats candy canes?" His answer: "God does!"

A liddle song

I awoke to this ditty coming from the hall where Gabriel was playing:

Baa baa black sheep
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three little bags.

One for my master
One for my sheep
And one for my
Little-piddle...


I missed the rest because I started laughing. I guess you had to be there.

Baskets

So I bought a bunch of cane from V. I. Reed & Cane Co. and made three baskets. There's lots of cane left over so I hope to make more, but these are the first results. I enjoy this craft a lot because you can make it up as you go along; no pattern needed once you know a very few rules.

Myron gets in the game

This is a piece from Myron. He says, "It is not a picture. I just scribbled with a bunch of different colors." I had him add his name for the sake of posterity and to demonstrate that he does, indeed, have small motor skills!

These are four (4) greeting cards I designed a while back. At least three (3) of them are strange. 

PBJ BEAR update

I cut out the bear and the sandwich. I glued the sandwich to another sheet of paper and let Gabriel glue the bear where it belongs, in his mind. There you have it: the bear is eating the sandwich. 

Hybrid

Raphael colored this rose. I drew it. He says it's a mixed-breed rose. I see no thorns. 

The Bear is eating the PB&J.

This bear is eating the sandwich. Gabriel (3) dictated this picture to me. I think he might be hungry. As hungry as a bear? He is disappointed that the Bear is not closer to the sandwich so that you can tell he is eating it. But Gabriel is like the little prince. Adults do not always understand his art. I am trying to convince Gabriel that the Bear is stepping back while chewing. 

Salad

Ingest this salad for the having of good healths. It contains of many positive ingredients and none of fats. Chopsticks are customarily.
